Typing accents is unbelievably easy, especially when you know how.
For Windows International Keyboard:

Aigu accent (é) : Type ' (single quote) then e.

Grave accent (à, è, ù) : Type ` (to the left of 1) then the vowel.

Cedilla (ç) : Type ' then c.
-
Circumflex (â, ê, î, ô, û) : Type ^ (shift + 6) then e.

Tréma (ö, ë, ï, ü) : Type " (shift + ') then o.

French quotation marks (« ») : Type ctrl + alt + [ and ].

Oe ligature (œ) : Type ctrl + shift + &, then o.

Tilde (ñ) : Type shift and ~, then the letter.
For UK Windows Keyboard:

Aigu accent (é) : Type AltGr and e at the same time.
-
Grave accent (à, è, ù) : Type ` (to the left of 1) then the vowel.

Cedilla (ç) : Type AltGr and c at the same time.

Circumflex (â, ê, î, ô, û) : Type AltGr and ^ at the same time, then the vowel.

Tréma (ö, ë, ï, ü): Type AltGr and " at the same time, then the vowel.

French quotation marks (« ») : Type AltGr and [ for « or AltGr and ] for ».

Oe ligature (œ) : Type AltGr and e.

Tilde (ñ) : Type AltGr and #, then the letter.
For Apple Mac Keyboard:

Aigu accent (é) : Hold both option key and e, then e.

Grave accent (à, è, ù) : Hold option key and ` then a , e, or u.
